Etienne Barbara is a native of Malta where he started his professional career at age 15 with Qormi. He then moved on to Floriana in the Maltese Premier League, where he starred for 4 years. His early success earned him a call up for the Malta Men’s National Team in 2002 and in 2004 Barbara earned his first cap for the National Team during UEFA Euro 2004 Qualifying.



In 2010 Barbara moved to the United States to play for the Carolina Railhawks of the NASL. He would go on to win the NASL Golden Boot for most goals scored over the season along with the NASL MVP in 2011. He was then called to the MLS and played with the Vancouver Whitecaps. He finished his professional career in the NASL in 2013 with the Tampa Bay Rowdies in 2013.



In 2014 Barbara and his young family moved to the Las Vegas area and he began his coaching career. He soon earned a reputation as being one of the top technical trainers in Las Vegas. In 2016 he founded his own club - Inspirada FC – and within months took teams that had never played together competing for championships. His ’06 girls team shot up the state rankings and have held the #1 ranking since the end of 2016.



Barbara spends his time between his family and his players, providing training 6 days per week for anyone that wants to learn the beautiful game. He is also frequently asked to play in exhibitions and competitive matches. In 2016, he was asked to play alongside Brazlian legend Ronaldinho in the “Clash of the Titans” Friendly for Las Vegas City FC against Miami United Football Club, featuring Adriano. In the spring of 2017 Barbara has guest played for the Albion Pros in several matches in San Diego and against the UNLV Men’s Team in Las Vegas.



He enjoys spending his free time with his wife Wendy and daughter Ava.
